Abstract
According to the data of official sources, the consumption of fish products in Russia is decreasing due to the rise in prices in recent years. It is necessary to understand the reaction of prices in the case of changes in certain price factors in order to correct this trend. The purpose of the paper is to identify and describe the factors that form the basis of the pricing mechanism for fish products in Russia. We rely on the research of domestic and foreign authors on the problems of market pricing and development of the fishery. In our work, we use standard techniques and methods of statistical analysis. The object of the study is the factors affecting consumer prices for fish products in Russia. Rosstat's data on price dynamics and price factors make up the information basis. We discovered some regularities in the formation of prices for fish products, which can be explained both by the provisions of market theory and by trends in the Russian economy. The results of our research can be useful for fishing companies and state regulatory bodies at the sectoral and macroeconomic levels.
